What can I expect during my Refueling Warriors Retreat?

Your day actually begins prior to your arrival. To get the most out of your Refueling day, there's a little bit of prep work you'll need to do. Before you arrive, you will need to read about and study the armor of God. This will help you be on the same page as the rest of the participants and will help lay a solid foundation that the Lord can build upon.

A typical Refueling Warriors Retreat schedule looks like this:

8:30 a.m.     Breakfast and registration
9:00 a.m.     Agenda and prayer
9:45 a.m.     Awareness exercise (with the horses)
10:45 a.m.  Armor of God exercise and study
12:30 p.m.  A lovely catered lunch
1:15 p.m.     Armor of God activity (with the horses)
2:15 p.m.     Armor of God curriculum and debrief
3:30 p.m.     Philippians 4:8 activity (floral bouquet)
4:45 p.m.     Retreat concludes

When you leave your Refueling Warriors retreat, you will walk away rejuvenated, refueled, and refreshed. You will also walk away with a beautiful floral arrangement you created as well as your own war book (journal) to help you continue the practice of taking care of your armor.

What should I bring?

Spiritually speaking, bring an open heart ready and willing to hear from the Lord. The conversation may not always be the easiest, but healing the cracks in our armor takes work, and He will show you what you need to fix.

From a practical standpoint, just bring yourself. You will be given a war book (journal) and a pen to take notes with.

What should I wear?

Excellent question! We will be spending a good portion of the day in an indoor arena, so there will be dirt! You must wear close-toed shoes (boots, if you've got them). Open-toed shoes (sandals, flip flops) and heels (stiletto, mules, or platforms) aren't recommended. You won't be able to participate in the activities if you have those. Jeans are appropriate. Dress comfortably, and be aware of the seasons. We are located in the Missouri Ozarks, so we do have humidity!
